Makeup Inspiration

As stated in my previous hair post, the headdress, mask and costume will be the focal points of the my completed look. My mask and headdress have a lot of elements as a result I don't want the hair and especially the makeup take away from this.

When we first received our brief, I had it in my head that I wanted to do a sugar skull makeup similar to the images below.

However, on reflection I thought this would be too much as instead have chosen to go with a classic Mexican folk dancer's makeup. This would mean strong defined eyes, and a bright red lip. This makeup would typically be worn on stage would it would be quite striking and bold.

To match my colour theme I will be using reds, golds, oranges and blacks. The look as a whole is very glamorous and glitzy so I want to add lots of shimmering highlight and glitter on the eyes.
