Guido Palau can easily be labeled as one of the most prominent hair stylists with the fashion industry.
Guido’s portfolio is crammed pack with collaborations with luxury fashion houses such as Prada, Marc Jacobs, Versace, Ralph Lauren and Saint Laurent just to name a few. Palau is often the mastermind behind hair trends we see. He was signed as a creative consultant for Redken in 2005 and was included in the British Fashion Council’s list of the ’25 Most Powerful People in the Fashion Industry’.
His career began in the early 80s, working in Vidal Sassoon and many other salons around the London area. The hair stylist’s career really took off when working on music video - George Michael’s Freedom in the 90s as the video included supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington.

In the 90s working with close friend and photographer David Sims, their work began to be published in fashion magazine ‘The Face’. This then caught the attention of Calvin Klein who hired the pair to create a grunge-feel for his upcoming editorial featuring James King and Kate Moss. Guido with his close friend and makeup artist Diane Kendal, are considered major forces behind the grunge movement of the mid '90s, which is a look defined by its bare skin, smudged eyes, and bed-head hair. Palau still continues to work alongside photographer David Sims on editorials and cover for fashion publications from the likes of American Vogue to Interview.

He has released a book 'Hair' which was dedicated to the memory of Alexander McQueen who Palau worked with for many years. He worked on the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Savage Beauty exhibition at London's V&A museum where he worked on masks, theatrical hairpieces and accessories.
'Guido has elevated hairstyling into an art form' and it is a true inspiration and his work are truely masterpieces.
